Global flood toll to triple by 2030

From Ampajen's Denver home base at 5,280 feet above sea level, you might think that Colorado need not worry about flooding. In 2013, we were proven wrong with the worst flooding in state history.
Whether you agree or disagree about the causes of climate change, the fact is more people are in more peril due to more violent (and more frequent) storms.
What's the solution? It's a combination of smart development, reducing (or eliminating development) in flood prone areas, preparation and, of course, tackling the issue of carbon emissions for our long term health and prosperity.
